Anyone can list their event for free, and event information is syndicated to a wide range of media partners. Event owners can manage their own ticketing, with full control over pricing and promotion, transparent real-time reporting and at-the-door validation tools.

James McGlinn – CEO
James is an experienced entrepreneur and software engineer with a twelve-year track record on the founding teams of three successful internet companies including Eventfinda. Community focused, he regularly lectures on technology and business at high school and tertiary level, and has been a guest speaker and panelist at conferences throughout New Zealand.
James was recently named the 2013 NZIM Northern Region Young Executive of the Year.
Michael Turner – Founder
A digital strategist and entrepreneur who specializes in building and leading teams that turn ideas into user friendly applications and successful start-up businesses. An an early adopter of the Internet as a business platform in 1995, his career includes producing digital strategies for Top 200 companies and state-owned enterprises.
He has a proven track record negotiating creative partnerships with global brands, large scale enterprises and government. Previously, Turner founded RockSolid Consulting in 2001, a strategy consulting and development services business with a portfolio of billion-dollar companies. He exited the business in 2004. He has an unhealthy obsession with user experience design.
Stephen Burt – CFO
Stephen has an extensive background in banking and finance, having worked in the capacity of Commercial Banking Manager and Senior Business manager for the Major Client Group of New Zealand’s largest banks.
He is a director of several privately held companies, including Eventinda. He joined Eventfinda in 2007 as consulting CFO, and has been instrumental in funding rounds. He recently assumed the responsibilities of CEO of the Eventfinda group of companies to manage the exponential growth the company is experiencing.
Global Platform Development
Greg Bryant – Development Manager
Greg studied Engineering and Automation at Massey University before graduating and working at Ericsson, initially in Marketing before joining their Network Operations team. Since then he has spent several years in London working as the Software Architect of the Trinity Mirrors network of online job search sites before starting at Eventfinda in 2008.
Joe Brightwell – User Interface Designer
Joe has been working at Eventfinda for the past two years as User Interface Designer within the development team. His focus is on the design and coding of Eventfinda’s websites, branding and marketing. Prior to Eventfinda, he worked as a graphic designer for a small real estate company and set up his own freelance web design business, allowed him to gain a wealth of experience and skills necessary for his role. He finds Eventfinda to be an exciting and passionate company full of talented people, and is excited to be part of a great team that’s ready to tackle the big boys across the globe!
Blair Leighton – Web Developer
Blair has a real love for coding and technology, first starting his career as a developer in Auckland building web applications. He has been working with Eventfinda for the past six months. Before finding his true passion for coding he was a qualified chef.

Bob Carlton – Commercial Director
Bob joined Eventfinda in 2008, and brings more than 30 years executive experience from arts and entertainment businesses in the United States, and working in a disruptive company like Eventfinda is “more fun than I ever imagined”. He thrives managing Eventfinda’s relationships with agencies, event organisers, artists, managers and venues. “This team surprises me every day with what they can do”.
Anna Magdalinos – Ticketing Account Manager
Anna joined Eventfinda in May 2012, and loves working on big events. The thrill of working on something from onset to that first moment when the gates open and you hold your breath hoping everything is going to go smoothly. The adrenaline when there are issues and the faith you hold that it can be worked through successfully is what drives her passion for ticketing.
She enjoys working with all walks of life from promoters to artists, sports men and women to dancers – seeing and being part of the passion. “Live events create memories and connect people; it’s a great industry that I am proud to work within.”
Casey Radley – Sales Coordinator
Casey joined the Eventfinda team in 2011, primarily to assist with the launch and maintenance of Eventfinda Australia content. Working alongside the Eventfinda crew and systematising a way in which the content could effectively be produced and published, saw success towards the final product which she helped pass along for the launch of Eventfinda USA. Casey now joins the New Zealand Operations team, focussing on potential ticketing relationships with community theatres and school ticketing initiatives.
